The doctors and staff of Advanced Family Eye Care are dedicated to providing quality eye care for patients of all ages. By combining our commitment to our patients with our expanding expertise in optometry & ocular care, Advanced Family Eye Care has become an integral component within the healthcare system of Northwest Arkansas and the surrounding communities. We believe that family comes first, and this is why we pride ourselves in being the best family eye care center you and your family will experience. At Advanced Family Eye Care, we are committed to ensuring that our patients are provided with the best in personal and professional care. We incorporate the use of the latest technologies and treatments to ensure the best possible care and early detection of diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, high blood pressure and many others.

Dr. Micah Thomason

Dr. Micah J Thomason is a lifetime resident of Arkansas. He graduated with honors from Springdale High School in 1995 and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Arkansas and the University of Memphis, TN graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors. He graduated from the Southern College of Optometry of Memphis in 2009.

While at the Southern College of Optometry, Dr. Thomason served as an officer in the Arkansas Student Optometric Association. He was named to the Who’s Who of American Colleges and Universities. While attending optometry school, Dr. Thomason interned at West Tennessee Eye and Olive Branch Eyecare.

Upon graduation, Dr. Thomason founded Advanced Family Eye Care in Springdale.

He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Arkansas Optometric Association and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.

Dr. Thomason and his wife Amy were married in 2001 and have three children: Kate, Hank, and Huck. In his spare time, Dr. Thomason enjoys gardening, golfing, hunting, spending time with his kids, and calling the Hogs. He and his family are active members of Fellowship Bible Church in Lowell.

Dr. Logan Page

Dr. Logan Page is a native of southeast Missouri, who received his undergraduate degree from Harding University in Searcy, AR. He graduated cum laude with a Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Missouri St. Louis.

His clinical externship rotations included time training under glaucoma, vitreoretinal, cornea, and oculoplastic ophthalmologists as well as primary care, ocular disease, pediatric, and specialty contact lens optometrists. 

Dr. Page specializes in family primary eye care, ocular disease, soft/scleral/specialized contact lenses, eye urgent care, pre- and postoperative care.

When not taking care of his patients, Dr. Page enjoys traveling with his wife Kallsy and their dog, Bentley. He enjoys photography, fishing, biking, cars, kayaking, movies, going on mission trips with his church and spending time with friends and family. 

Nathan Simpson, Clinic Director

Nathan Simpson was born and raised in Northwest Arkansas. He is an alumnus of Williams Baptist University (B.A. English and Communications) and the University of Arkansas (B.S. Computer Information Science). While attending WBU, he was selected to the International English Honor Society and the National Theatre Honor Society. Nathan is also an active member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and has completed over 200 CE hours in vision rehabilitation, pediatric-adult developmental vision therapy, amblyopia and strabismus therapy, and neuro-optometric treatment for traumatic brain injuries.

Nathan joined Advanced Family Eye Care in 2010 and directed the Vision Therapy program until 2017, when he took the role of Clinic Director.

Nathan and his wife, Erin, have three sons: Benjamin, Andrew, and Cameron. He enjoys yelling at his kids’ sporting events, fishing, hunting, cheering on the Razorbacks, and playing the drums and piano (not at the same time).

Optometric Technicians

Our optometric technicians work alongside the doctors to assist them with your exam.  They are highly trained on the most cutting-edge diagnostic technology and treatment procedures, and they will help guide you through your exam and make it as comfortable and convenient as possible.  Feel free to ask them any questions about your exam—we love eyes, and we want you to understand every detail about yours!


Our opticians love glasses!  Their mission is to make your glasses selection and fitting an enjoyable experience. With over 30 years of combined experience, they are ABO certified in glasses and contacts selection, fitting, and repairs. They will customize to your specific optical needs–from sports goggles and safety glasses to designer frames and sunwear.  We also have a large selection of specialty contacts including Colored lenses, Rigid Gas Permeable lenses, Scleral lenses, etc…
